Hi, I’m Joan.

In 2020 I joined Amazon, where I contributed to the launch of the AWS Systems Manager Quick Setup console.

Since 2022 I am part of the team behind Cloudscape, the AWS design system.

As a startup incubator, Next Big Thing brought me the chance to get involved in a variety of innovative projects across the whole development cycle —from prototyping to production.

In 2012 I joined a small team of talented and innovative folks at the Interaction Design Studios (IXDS) in Berlin.

Under a user-centric process, I spent 7 years developing high fidelity UX prototypes for big and small customers, uncluding Siemens, Bosch, Deutsche Telekom, as well as leading companies in the German automotive industry.

IXDS was acquired by PwC in 2020.

Content Mind was a small Barcelona-based startup behind a health information portal (Nos Cuidamos).

I took care of the frontend layer of this portal, including te development of a quiz game and a nutrition tracking web app.

I took care of the implementation of HTML page layouts based on Photosop references, for various customers.

I developed various web-based and desktop applications for a dental clinic team to improve their workflows in their daily tasks.

My first paid work as a developer was a WordPress-based website for a startup. I took care of both design and development and wrote a custom theme from scratch.
